 STATEMENT BY RON MURWI YOUTHS ON THE TRAGIC DEATH OF MANGAI ISTIFANUS ON 31ST DECEMBER.2024.

The Ron Murwi Youths wish to condemn in the strongest terms the tragic death of Mangai Istifanus of Tangur District, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State. Our heartfelt condolences go to the family of Mangai, the Tangur community, and the entire Ron Murwi nation.

The circumstances surrounding Mangai's death have left us with unanswered questions:

1. What were his offenses?

2. Where are the military personnel who arrested him?

3. Where are the Fulani herdsmen who accused Mangai?

4. Who is responsible for arresting criminals - military officers or the police?

In light of these events, we demand a thorough investigation. The military's unprofessional conduct, which led to Mangai's disappearance and eventual death, is unacceptable.

We demand the following:

1. The military must arrest and prosecute their personnel involved in Mangai's arrest.

2. The military must provide compensation to Mangai's family.

3. The Fulani individuals who accused Mangai must be prosecuted for their role in his death.

4. The migrant fulani herdsmen must vacate Tangur land to prevent similar incidents.

We will not stand idle by while our people are harmed. We demand justice for Mangai and his family.
