HON CHIEF MONDAY M KASSAH (Saf Makudang Mangor) HONOURED WITH PEACE AWARD BY CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF LIEUTENANT GENERAL TAOREED LAGBAJA AT KOP MADARKEN BOKKOS LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

At  the instance of Kop Mandarken community Bokkos Local Government, the Nigerian Army boss Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja leading other officers presented a Peace Award to the Transition Implementation Committee Chairman Bokkos Local Government Hon. Chief Monday M Kassah for his cooperation with the Nigerian army towards bringing normalcy and stability in the local government area.

In a colourful event that saw a Peace and Unity Tournament as well as the commissioning of a motorised borehole courtesy of the Nigerian army as part of its corporate social responsibility, the army chief eulogised the distinct, visionary and charismatic leadership qualities of the Transition Implementation Committee Chairman with the charge that others take a leave from him.

You could recall however that, the Plateau State Police Commissioner CP Hassan Steve Yabanet had some weeks ago issued a similar award to Hon Chief Monday Kassah a clear testament of excellence and accomplishment.

Responding, Hon Monday M Kassah while appreciating the award given to him, recognised and appreciated the role of the Nigerian Army through turbulent moment that engulfed the local government area with the promise that the gesture would spur him to do more. He further appreciated the host community, Kop Mandarken and the entire people of the local government area for their resilience, patience and cooperation with the government and security personnel throughout the challenging moments and prayed for the return of lasting peace and prosperity in the local government.

The leadership of Kop Mandarken community through their representative appreciated the Nigerian Army for their efforts towards ensuring the safety of lives and properties as well as the water project sited in the area.

The chairman had earlier at Living Faith Church Bokkos bid farewell to a deceased staff of the Local Government Late Mr Joshua Siman Mafuyai. The chairman while speaking on the inevitability of death and the immortality of man, consoled with the immediate family of the deceased as well as his friends and colleagues and prayed that the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Adviser to the Governor, Hon Dadung Bot-mang Advocates for Strategic Business Development Initiatives

In a significant development aimed at bolstering business growth and economic revival on the Plateau, Hon. Dadung BOT-MANG, the adviser to the governor on business development, recently conducted a courtesy visit to Hon. Danlami Jelka, Managing Director of the Plateau Investment and Property Company (PIPC). The meeting, held yesterday, focused on pivotal strategies to enhance the state's business landscape.

During the visit, Hon. Bot-mang commended the efforts of PIPC in rejuvenating the state government's investments. He emphasized the critical importance of revitalizing the iconic Jos International Brewery (JIB), and Jos Rock Hotel highlighting its potential to generate employment opportunities for the youth and significantly augment the state's revenue while the Jos Rock Hotel to boost tourism and hospitality within the State.

"Reviving the Jos International Brewery is not just about restoring a historic asset; it's about creating sustainable jobs and boosting the economic fortunes of Plateau State," remarked Hon. BOT-MANG.

Expanding on his vision for agricultural development, Hon. BOT-MANG underscored the need for PIPC to consider revitalizing the Agricultural Services Training Centre (ASTC) and BARC Farms. ASTC, operated by the Plateau State government, has successfully cultivated 900 hectares of land; thereby enhancing food security and contributing to the state's revenue through job creation.

Furthermore, BARC Farms, formerly a subsidiary of Jos International Breweries and a significant asset of the state, holds immense potential for economic revitalization. Hon. BOT-MANG emphasized that restoring BARC Farms would have a profound impact on Plateau State's economy, presenting new opportunities for business growth and development in the agricultural sector.

In conclusion, Hon. Dadung Bot-mang's visit to PIPC signifies a pivotal step towards fostering sustainable economic growth on the Plateau. By advocating for the revival of strategic assets like Jos International Brewery, ASTC, and BARC Farms, Hon. BOT-MANG aims to position Plateau State as a hub of business innovation and economic resilience, ensuring prosperity for its residents and stakeholders alike.

EID-EL KABIR: GOVERNOR CALEB MANASSEH MUTFWANG CELEBRATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH, URGES FERVENT PRAYERS FOR A PEACEFUL AND UNITED NATION

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined other well-wishers around the world to celebrate the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir with the Muslim Ummah in Plateau State and beyond.

In a heartfelt message, Governor Mutfwang congratulated the Muslim community on the significant milestone and urged them to devote time to reflect deeply on the virtues of love, peace, charity, tolerance, and commitment to peaceful co-existence in Plateau and Nigeria.

"I heartily rejoice with the Muslim Ummah on this unique occasion which reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice and total submission to the will of God Almighty. As we celebrate this event, I encourage all of us to devote time to reflect on the values of love, charity, and selflessness and walk towards building a more united and peaceful Plateau State."

Governor Mutfwang highlighted the significance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, emphasizing that it provides the Muslim Ummah with a great opportunity to invoke God's blessings on Nigerian leaders as they strive to provide the qualitative leadership desired by citizens.

He reiterated the commitment of his administration to guide, guard, and protect all citizens, as well as to cater to their welfare. Governor Mutfwang noted that his government has supported the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board adequately to ensure the 2024 Hajj proceeds smoothly.

Governor Mutfwang advised the beneficiaries of the 2024 Hajj to pray for the peace and unity of Plateau and the country, urging them to be good ambassadors of the state and to anticipate a safe return.

He further urged citizens to abide by the law and respect government policies aimed at restructuring the state to create a conducive business atmosphere for citizens to pursue their dreams without hindrance.

Governor Mutfwang reassured citizens of his administration's commitment to addressing the current hardships, particularly those faced by the masses, and assured them of his dedication to securing lives and property.
